TALK FLOW
CONVO FLOW a.k.a. TALK FLOW
"Talk Rap" or "Talk Flow" was created specifically by ADDRESS THAT HANDLE YOU PUBLISHING as a complex educational method of forming lyrics in a format that emulates elevated conversation pieces that continue to make sense after the music stops.
The challenge and overall goal is to organize words in a way that, if no music or beats supported the message, flow as a conversation that leads to understanding.
Although released in the form of lyrics, each conversation is structured, intelligent, educated, progressive, and preferably profanity free; to ensure not to offend adolescents, spiritual/religious preferences, and any one else who finds rhetoric and profanity unacceptable.
When words are strategically structured properly, are logical, and spoken over rhythmic patterns in progressive sentences/phrases, this is the "Talk Flow".
Under the "Talk Rap and/or Talk Flow" element, any performing artist who writes and performs tracks that are simple, about "whatever sounds hot", or "glorifying/idolizing violence, sex, drugs, fashion, money, body parts, cars, etc. DO NOT QUALIFY as an emcee/MC.
Therefore, ATHY Curriculum Muzik Professors declares that these types are not “artists” and will not be given the recognition of being "lyrical”.
Many lyrics do not transition listeners properly. Oftentimes, when we hear certain rappers/Hip-Hop artists, it is evident that they are:
1. Uneducated
2. Undereducated (or)
3. Highly intelligent but...for the sake of the industry standards and making money, will continue to record mediocre fragmented words that are not cohesive.
When an "entertainer" attempts to "flow" and ends up sounding like “kid convo”, they fail to prove authenticity, skill, and literacy.
If an authentic “flow” strategy is not executed on tracks, most educated minds get lost quickly because the words are not making sense.
This is usually followed by a headache, frustration, and ultimately wasted time trying to find out if any rapper's message was valid or noteworthy.
If your hearing is “stenciled”, you’ve developed a respect for “garbage music” that belongs in the trash.
Note: “Have no fear! The Trash Removers are here!”
The “average” listener establishes a loyalty to "garbage" rappers because the beat/track captures the attention. Regardless of the “word flow” being garbage and/or making no sense, the listeners unconsciously hang around because the beat/track production provides a higher level of stimulation than the words do.
This means the listeners should develop a higher level of respect for the producer. Correct?
Engineers have the ability to “fix” entire tracks with methods that can deceive the public into false beliefs that the artist actually dedicated work towards the final project.
Oftentimes, this is not the case.
On the other hand, ATHY's "Flow" Professors have made it our business and professional duty to develop CURRICULUM MUZIK using the power of educated words and the sounds of music from a multitude of different genres.
