Sanctuary was originally created in 2006 during a time when Lai'Lo was trying to figure out an escape from an extremely abusive relationship. Domestic violence happens to women, men, and children and should be acknowledged everyday. We should also take a moment to remember those who lost their lives to domestic violence and respect those who made it out without carrying open wounds into new relationships.
